Vision Sunday
By Pastor Max Marcoux April 10th 2016 Luke 5:1 - 4 One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee,[a] great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. 2 He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,[b] its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” Time To Go Deeper! |

G.P.S.
By Pastor Max Marcoux July 19th 2015 Acts 16:6 – 10 They went to Phrygia, and then on through the region of Galatia. Their plan was to turn west into Asia province, but the Holy Spirit blocked that route. So they went to Mysia and tried to go north to Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus wouldn’t let them go there either. Proceeding on through Mysia, they went down to the seaport Troas. That night Paul had a dream: A Macedonian stood on the far shore and called across the sea, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” The dream gave Paul his map. We went to work at once getting things ready to cross over to Macedonia. All the pieces had come together. We knew now for sure that God had called us to preach the good news to the Europeans. Paul had his God Positioning System. Do you have yours? |

Be Still & Know
By Pastor Max Marcoux July 12th 2015 Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God! Who wants to wait for anything? I think we all want things to happen as soon as possible but there are important times when I believe God is telling us to be still. To Stop. Stop worrying, stop complaining, stop rushing and to stop trying to force things. Just stop! #1. Stop. Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. The the person who seeks Him. #2. Wait. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. |
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
#3. Draw.
James 4:8 Draw new to God and He will draw near to you.
Draw peace, draw wisdom and draw strength. Make the connection.
Be encouraged. God makes His plans for you worth the wait. If you are in a hurry to eat you can drive through McDonalds and get a Happy Meal. But if you want a meal that you won't forget. A meal that really impresses you, than that takes time. God often slow cooks His plans for us. But in the waiting you are not just hanging around. God can do a work in you. Stretch you. Teach you. Devote yourself to doing good during your time of waiting.
Love, Pastor Max

Jesus Is_____. Part 4. Easter Sunday By Pastor Max Marcoux Luke 24:44 - 49 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” #1. Jesus Is Living Proof. V.45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. #2. Jesus Is Still Opening Minds. V.47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations,[f] beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’48 You are witnesses of all these things. #3. Jesus Is ______. Part 3. Happy By Pastor Max Marcoux Luke 2:9 The Angel said, "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people." #1. Jesus & Joy are a package deal. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation. #2. The answer to your happiness is the gospel. Nehemiah 8:10 For the joy of the Lord is your strength. #3. True happiness is a state of being. Religion says: "Behave, believe and then you can belong." The gospel says the opposite: "Belong, then believe, then behave. Ephesians 2:8 God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can't take cried for this; it is a gift from God. |

Built To Last Recap By Pastor Max Marcoux Point #1. Security. Building your relationship on the Rock. Jesus teaches that if you build your life on His teachings that you will be ready for anything. Point #2. Love. 1st Corinthians 13:4 -7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. Point #3. Sabbath We learned that there is a large focus in the Bible on guarding Sunday or a day of sabbath. Point #4. Prayer Philippians 4:6 - 8 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. |

Built To Last Part 4 - Prayer By Pastor Max Marcoux #1. Stay inspired by great examples. The Bible is full of incredible stories of men and women that God walked and talked with. Today I spoke about Daniel found in Daniel chapter two. #2. Make sure you know the truth. Learn truths in the Bible instead of trying to guess and come up with an opinion based on just feelings. Biblical truths will help you to pray with the right kind of focus. Read Matthew 6:6 The Lords Prayer. #3. Pray about everything. Philippians 4:6 - 8 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. |

Built To Last part 3 - Sabbath By Pastor Max Marcoux Exodus 16:29 They must realize that the Sabbath is the Lord's gift to you. The Israelites were just a month out of captivity and on their journey to the promised land. They were complaining about not having enough to eat so God provided food for them. He tested them to trust Him and follow His commands during this time. All they knew was how to be a slave to Pharaoh. Their identity was in what they produced. #1. Who is your Pharaoh? Romans 12:2 Do not copy the behaviors of this world. But let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. |
In the Ten Commandments number four is - Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Moses recapped the Ten Commandments in the book of Deuteronomy. What did he spend the most time on explaining? You guessed it - Number four. The Sabbath.
Deuteronomy 5:15 Remember that you were once a slave in Egypt. (For us, we could say, We were once a slave to sin or a bad way of thinking) But the Lord your God brought you out with His strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day.
#2. God brought you out.
Mark 2:27 Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not the people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath. Point - Don't be legalistic.
Question - What can you do to change things so you can enjoy the benefits a Sabbath will give you?
Genesis 2:2 - 4 One the seventh day God had finished His work of creation, so He rested from all of His work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all of His creation.
#3. Delight. Delight in what God has done for you. Delight in what you have accomplished. Delight in what potential is ahead of you. Delight in your freedom. Delight in spending time with your neighbors and friends.
The Sabbath is a gift that God wants you to enjoy each week. Make time to recharge and reflect.

Built To Last part 2 - Love By Pastor Max Marcoux 1st Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. #1. Learn What Love Is. If your life is going to be Built To Last than you will need to learn what love is. #2. Self Control. Deciding to exercise self control each day before you do anything is key. Being Kind takes effort. |
1st Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.
#3. Grow Up.
If you watch children on a playground you will eventually witness that they can be impatient, not very kind, jealous, proud, rude and they demand their own way. Adults can act that way much too often. Change your attitude today and Grow up. It's a major must in order to be Built to Last and to be able to both give and receive Love.

Built To Last part 1 - Complete Security By Pastor Max Marcoux Mathew 7:24 Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. #1. Relationship. In order to have Complete Security to ensure a life built to last we need a relationship with Jesus. Built on the teaching of Him and His Word. Psalm 91:2 He alone is my refuge, my hiding place of safety; He is my God and I trust Him. #2. Trust. We need to trust God in order to have Complete Security. Hebrews 9:12 With His own blood - not the blood of goats and calves - He entered the most holy place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. #3. Faith. Believing that Jesus secured our redemption is key for our Complete Security. We can have a life built to last if we have a relationship with Jesus. Put these 3 things into action and lock into Complete Security. |
