FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can come to monumental VBS?
All children ages 3 - Grade 5. Pre-School age children will participate as one large group with more age-appropriate activities and learning. K-5th graders will participate in mixed-age groups as they navigate through all the different adventures of the day.
When is vbs?
Monday through Friday. July 11th - 15th, 2022.
What is the time frame?
Our program kicks off every morning at 9:00 A.M. and pick up is at 12:00 P.M. Arriving 5-10 minutes early each day is encouraged to allow for registration time, bathroom stops, and so that kids don't miss the opening program each day, which is HUGE fun!
What will kids do at Monumental VBS?
Each day at Monumental VBS kids will have a blast exploring God's word and learning about His love for them through 7 different stations. Sing & Play Opening, Imagination Station, Games, Snacks, KidVid Cinema, Wild Bible Adventures & our fun Wrap-Up.
What is the main message of the teaching at monumental VBS?
Children will learn a Bible Point & Verse each day that reinforces the theme of Celebrating God's Greatness. This year's Bible Points include:
- God loves you no matter what
- God is with you everywhere
- God is in charge
- God is stronger than anything
- God is surprising
How are children kept organized and safe?
Children will be assigned to a small group, which we call crews. Each crew will have two adults or teen leaders responsible for up to 10 children. Crews will have the same leaders each day so kids will develop a relationship with that leader and grow close throughout the week. All of our volunteers are CORI checked and attend necessary training and meetings prior to VBS in order to best care for children. We also have individuals who will act as security around church exits and the outdoor areas we use, especially during class transition times.
Can parents hang out during VBS?
Yes! We would love to get to know you so you are more than welcome to stay and visit. We will give you a name tag so that all volunteers know that you are known and we'd ask that you stay in the main spaces and enjoy a cup of coffee.
How are emergencies handled?
Luckily, we've never had any real emergencies. We have evacuation plans for all church events, in case of emergency. We have first-aid stations on site for any small scrapes or bumps in need of an ice pack or bandaid. You will receive an Incident Report Form if your child needed any type of medical care (even a bandaid). We will keep you contact information on file to contact you quickly if need be. You will always be called if any other emergency protocol is taken.
