Childrens Ministry? What is it all about?
1. COMMUNICATION
Every person who serves in the ministry is vital to it's effect on people and its honor of God. I want you all to know what I'm thinking, what I'm planning, what I'm expecting, what I'm envisioning, and even what I'm learning. I aim to do my best to communicate with you all these things so that we can work with unity, trust, & love. Working well together is going to have a long-lasting impact on the quality of our ministry. Likewise, I want to hear from you. If you feel overwhelmed by the curriculum, the commitment, or maybe even the children or if you have ideas or suggestions or would like to take on a bigger role in the ministry, talk to me about. Together we can support one another and do more. Let's all make it a goal to communicate more.
2. Value the Children
Let's not be guilty of loving our ministry more than we love the children. I have huge dreams of what could make our ministry great. I see so many things in my mind that I would love to do and I can easily get caught up in the plan and lose focus on what this is all about. Our focus is loving God and loving children toward God. How we receive these children, love them, teach them, and guide them can have a direct impact on how and if they will receive Jesus into their lives. This ministry is about the children and if Jesus made time to pour all of himself into the children, then we too are called to do the same. Pray, pray, pray for the children of Elevation Chapel and pray that God will develop your friendship with them into a relationship that will lead them in their faith walk. This is exciting!
