WHAT IS A TITHE AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM AN OFFERING?
A “tithe” literally means a tenth or 10%. A tithe is the first 10% of your income. An offering is anything you give above and beyond the 10%.
WHY DO WE TITHE?
The Bible tells us that tithing teaches us to always put God first in our lives. (Deuteronomy 14:22) Tithing helps us remember that everything we have comes from God. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of His blessing in your life. In Malachi 3:10 God says:
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in!"
This is the only place in Scripture where God asks us to put Him to the test. God loves a cheerful giver because He himself is a cheerful giver!

WHERE DO MY DONATIONS GO?
Donations go into Elevation Chapel’s general operating fund which makes it possible to support the day-to-day ministries, outreaches, and services of Elevation Chapel. Elevations Chapel's Board members then work together to distribute the funds accordingly.
WILL I RECEIVE A STATEMENT OF CONTRIBUTION?
Yes. At the beginning of every year, those who have made contributions in the previous year will receive a statement for tax purposes. In order to receive this statement, it's important to keep your contact and mailing information up to date with Elevation Chapel's leadership team..
